Like ‘Before The Storm’  this painting also examines the father-daughter relationship. Rather than impending uncertainty this father and his adult daughter share a history and  quiet companionship. Now she has grown, they enjoy mutual respect, both treading more carefully to navigate their boundaries, whether by conflict or negotiation.  Sometimes like today, she allows him the role of guide or mentor again.
