These two paintings offer a joyful celebration of sisterhood and body positivity. As I age, not so gracefully, I am less and less conscious of how I appear to others.

Being hyper-aware of body image when I was younger, I am now challenging the pervasive culture of curated beach imagery. There are no posed “beach body” selfies, no strategic angles or filters. Instead, real bodies, real joy, and real connection. The paintings honour the beauty of women simply being—swimming, talking, embracing—without performing for an audience. In an age of constant documentation and self-surveillance, I remind myself that the most meaningful moments are often those we don’t photograph: the ones we’re too busy living.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
