Before the Storm

This work uses the classic father-daughter trope, not as a staged representation of what a great relationship looks like - lots of white teeth and shiny hair for social media,  but as an exploration of universal themes of guidance and vulnerability. The looming, dark thunderclouds filling the sky create an atmosphere of impending uncertainty while the subjects cycling to beat the storm together suggests family bonds of trust and unquestioning reliance on a parent.
